The USDA has declared August 7-13, 2016 to be National Farmers Market Week. This year marks the 17th anniversary of this event which honors and celebrates the important role that farmers markets play in local economies. In honor of this annual event, we want you to send us a photo of your favorite farmers market purchase along with the name of the farmer who grew it for you. Be creative and have fun! We'll post all entries on Facebook and the photo with the most “Likes” will win the photographer a tote bag full of farmers’ market products!
The deadline for submissions is Sunday, August 14, 2016 and you permit the Monroe Farmers Market to use your photo on its website, on social media and in other promotional materials. The winner will be contacted by August 18. Send your full name, favorite farmer's name and your photo to photo-contest@monroefarmersmarket.org. Good luck!
